Diab, Roseanne

Diab is emeritus professor of Environmental Sciences at the Univ. of KwaZulu-Natal and the executive officer of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf). She obtained her PhD from the Univ. of Virginia, USA in 1983. She is a fellow of the Univ. of KwaZulu-Natal and the South African Geographical Society and a member of ASSAf. She was a Fulbright Senior Scholar and has served on numerous intl. committees such as the Intl. Ozone Commission and the SPARC (Stratospheric-Tropospheric Processes and their Role in Climate) Scientific Steering Group. She is active in the Organisation of Women Scientists for the Developing World and serves on the Gender Advisory Board to TWAS. She served as the Co-chair of the InterAcademy Council Review Committee of the Intergovermental Panel on Climate Change.
